Space Packers INC (Prototype)

What is Space Packers INC?

Imagine wielding a tractor beam to grab, rotate, and precisely place various shaped items. Your goal? To strategically fill designated Shipping Zones.

The twist? You never know what packages or packing zones are available during the day!

Gameplay Features (Current Prototype)

• First-Person Control: Navigate the environment using standard FPS controls.
• Tractor Beam: Aim at physics-enabled items and use the beam to grab, hold, and move them.
• Item Rotation: Rotate held items on different axes to orient them correctly for placement.
• Shipping Zones: Place items into designated zones where they freeze in an antigravity field.
• Re-Grabbing: Pick up items that have already been placed in a Shipping Zone.
• Basic Level Progression: Still under development; this prototype focuses on the basic game mechanics.

Current Status: Functional Prototype

This project is currently in the prototype stage. The core mechanics described above are implemented and functional:

• Shipping Zones (freeze the packages in the location they are released)
• Tractor Beam Mechanic (Grabbing, Holding, Releasing, Re-Grabbing placed items)
• Item Rotation
• Item Spawning System
• Package Economy (shipping packages generates credits, launching ships costs credits, packages left in storage charge storage fee by day)

What's Next?

Future development phases will focus on:

• Upgrade system (unlock ship sizes, licenses for different types of packages)
• Unlock new Ships
• More Levels (Maps) Designs
